The Open Source GWT Project

The Open Source GWT Project

GWT (pronounced ‘gwit’) is a development toolkit for building and optimizing complex browser-based applications. It allows web developers to create and maintain complex JavaScript front-end applications in Java. More than 1.5 years ago at Google I/O we announced to transition GWT into a real community driven open source project.

GWT is the official open source project for GWT releases 2.5 and onwards. The GWT Steering committee started to drive the development and roadmap of GWT and many contributions from outside of Google started to happen. Join us for this session to get an idea on how far we have come and what is next for GWT as an open source project.
