This BOF provides insight into the features being introduced in the next JPA specification. It illustrates, through the use of code examples, why and when not to use the new features.
The examples demonstrate how to write and invoke stored procedure queries, how to use converter mappings to customize how data is stored and retrieved, when to use the new JPQL function additions, when to use unsynchronized persistence contexts, and more. Attendees will have an opportunity to control the direction and the pace of the examples as well as ask detailed questions about those that interest them. If you have an opinion about existing, current, or future enhancements, you will have a chance to make your voice heard.
