Migrating a Java Application from Heroku to OpenShift

This video outlines steps for migrating a Java application running on the Heroku Cloud over to Red Hat’s OpenShift Platform as a Service (PaaS).

This presentation shows how to migrate a Java Spring MVC application running on Tomcat with a PostgreSQL database, but the process would be similar for many other web servers and technologies. The two main things changed in the application source code were the pom.xml (adding an OpenShift profile) and the database configuration (adding OpenShift environment variables).
