NoSQL Usage Patterns in Java Enterprise Applications

The NoSQL database movement has exploded onto the software scene in recent years, heralding a new era of “polyglot persistence” for enterprise applications.

This session explores and codifies myriad usage patterns that have emerged for NoSQL technologies in the context of modern enterprise application architectures, illustrating them with examples drawn from recently launched production applications. Attendees will gain a model and a vocabulary for describing various uses of NoSQL stores in Java EE applications and an appreciation of the consequences, both positive and negative, of each usage pattern.
